Apartamentos Dracaena
The apartments Dracaena are located very closely to the beach of Puerto de Tazacorte.
To take a swim in the Atlantic you only have to pass 60 metres of a small alley in the old town or cross the pedestrian area until you reach the seafront.
The building Dracaena is divided as follows:
- Office on the ground floor (entrance via C/El Pozo)
- Boutique on the ground floor (entrance pedestrian zone)
- elevator
- 1A + 1B on the 1st floor
- 2A + 2B on the 2nd floor
- 3A + 3B on the 3rd floor
- sun deck on the upper floor
Also in winter you can enjoy the “eternal spring” on the Canary island La Palma.
The harbour of Tazacorte is the place with the most hours of sunshine in Europe! Wave-breakers assure that also children can splash about in the sea the whole year round.
The port is the ideal starting point for your excursions.
Whether you want to go to the lookout “Mirador El Time” in Tijarafe or you want to visit the communes in the north, like i.g. Puntagorda or Garafía — here you depart from a central place from which also the volcanoes in the south can be reached quickly.
… and — of course — you will find here excursion boats, so you can explore the coast of the island.
Los Llanos de Aridane is situated on the west side and is the biggest city of La Palma.
There are shops, attractions and a museum — all at hand. A bus (guagua) to Los Llanos departs every 30 minutes from Puerto de Tazacorte. The bus stop is only a few minutes from Dracaena apartments.
Midway between you will find Villa de Tazacorte, this pretty town with it’s narrow alleys and small bars has the nickname “París chiquito” (little Paris).
There you can visit the banana museum, which documents the agrarian and colonial history of the island, the mojo museum and Casa Massieu with changing exhibitions, the “San Miguel”-church, dedicated to the patron saint of the island.
In the Atlantic harbour Puerto de Tazacorte various restaurants prepare fresh fish, but also an Italian restaurant and an ice-cream parlour with home-made produce are waiting to spoil you …
The building Dracaena is located in the calm part of a pedestrian area, on the ground floor is a boutique with beach articles. In the neighbouring house you will find a small supermarket, next to it is a pharmacy. The bars and kiosks are located a little bit further down towards the beach front.
